Amin received his Ph.D in Taxation from the University of Waterloo and his LL.M in Tax Law from Osgoode Hall Law School. He also holds the CPA and CFP professional designations. For his contributions and service to the accounting and financial planning professions, Amin has been recognized as a Fellow of CPA Ontario and a FP Canada Fellow.
Professor Mawani’s research has been published in the Canadian Tax Journal and his op-eds published in The Globe and Mail.
Amin has served as a Director on the Board of FP Canada, and currently serves as a Director on the Board of the Ontario Institute of Cancer Research. Amin is also a member on the Financial Planners' Stakeholder Advisory Committee at the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA).
Jason has been providing fee-only, advice-only financial planning since 2002 and is one of Canada's best-known fee-for-service financial planners. He has a particular interest in working with clients with complex planning issues, including high-net-worth executives and retirees, incorporated business owners, and Canadian expats in other countries. His focus is primarily on retirement accumulation and decumulation, tax strategy, and estate planning.
