As AI disrupts every industry, including wealth management, we are compelled to explore how "human" is our human capital. What is distinctly human when machines can be deeply intelligent, creative, task-oriented, and (yes) empathetic? As advisory firms compete to “personalize at scale,” we will entertain the ironic possibility that the explosion of AI may unlock a new era of human flourishing--but one that requires imagination, investment, and collaboration only some will achieve.
