For seven years Report on Business magazine’s Women Lead Here program has tracked gender diversity in the executive ranks of Canada’s largest public companies. Each year, leaders from organizations on the list, together with other diversity champions, gather to share strategies to build on current progress. Once again, the event will also include recognition of the Top Growing Women-Led Companies, celebrating women entrepreneurs and trail blazers.
Join The Globe and Mail on April 8 for a day of networking, learning and community-building among executives and founders who are breaking gender barriers. Hear and share proven solutions to cultivate, support and drive gender diversity in business.
The path to gender equity in business is long—and sometimes more winding than advocates would like. Drawing on data from the Report on Business Women Lead Here benchmark, and the 2026 ranking of Canada's Top Growing Women-Led Companies, this presentation will offer a snapshot of women's leadership in Canada today—how far we've come, where we are now, and where we need to go.
In 2026, many organizations have implemented practices and programs that materially advance gender equity. Numerous others have struggled to translate good intentions into real impact. What's the difference between what works and what falls flat? In this candid panel conversation, successful women executives and entrepreneurs leading gender-equitable organizations will share what helped them advance their careers, and reveal what they are doing to drive gender diversity within their organizations and industries today.
Drawing on national research and data, this presentation explores how women drive economic growth, innovation and sustainability. It examines the drivers and impediments to women’s advancement and inclusion in the workplace and business, highlighting proven strategies to harness their potential and build success.
Individuals in high-profile roles can experience physical, mental, and other stressors. For women in particular, these can be compounded by health changes, caregiving responsibilities, and other life demands. This panel will explore physical and mental wellbeing for women at work—and how organizations are creating cultures where all employees can thrive.
What does it really take to move forward - and what still holds us back? In this candid conversation, senior leaders and rising professionals share their own journeys - the pivotal moments, the obstacles they’ve faced, and the strategies that made a difference. Through personal stories, hard-won lessons, and actionable insights, panelists will explore what has helped, and what continues to hinder them on their career journeys.
